Chosen Solution
This error is stopping the switch boot, it was working but now just gives this error code 2162-0002. Its not joy con related have ruled that out.
Found the problem in the end was being trolled by 2 broken pins that gave out in the end.
- Make sure both the console and Joy-Cons are fully charged to rule that possible cause out
- Setup the docking station to a TV
- Make sure the Switch is completely off with the Joy-Cons attached
- In Tablet Mode, turn on the Switch, when the screen displays the red background with the Switch logo dock the Switch
- From there it should display the setup process and you should be able to go through it and complete it
- Update any Joy-Cons/Controllers and the console to the most up-to-date version only theory on why it kept displaying the error is that the firmware versions were either not compatible with each other between Joy-Cons and console or that the Joy-Con
Change M92T36 control IC. I had the same error keep popping up. Replacing this chip fixed the error. No problems since.
