It sounds like your system is looking to connect to Apple servers to do a system recovery as the OS files are damaged. Do you have a network you can connect your system to so it can recover its self? If not you can also do a re-install if you have a recovery drive setup or if you have a second mac you can set up yours in target mode and connect your system using either a FireWire or Ethernet Network cable to your other mac you can re-install the OS.
