Hi There! I’ve changed the display of my iphone and after reassembled the screen lights on only left side and right side is fully dark. The sensor works normaly and touch Works as well but no back light on this side. Any clue?? Thanks
Marco, it sounds like you have a low quality replacement screen. If you connect the original screen, do you have the same backlight issue? If not, then it’s definately the screen. Additionally, the polarizing filter was installed incorrectly and that is why you can’t seen anything with sunglasses. If the original screen also has the same issue, then your problem is on the logic board, specifically the cathode filters. That would require a micro-soldering repair.
Yes, I would say you didn’t power off the phone or disconnect the battery when changing the screen and shorted the backlight circuit. But wait…Is this a 6 or the 6 Plus?? Also, did you power it off? Unplug Battery?? I know it is possible to also damage the little lights that light up your screen but that’s unlikely. Also, Does your old screen work (To test with) or is it out completely?
