As the description says, my problem is that half the screen blacks out entirely and the other half flickers when you move the mouse. If you stop using the mouse, the entire screen blacks out. Everything seems to be working normal in the OS in the background. Any one seen this problem before? Might be the graphics card maybe? I has happened 3 times the last 24 hours. I put a video here: https://youtu.be/zUuBVegNvo8
Your display assembly is damaged! I’ve seen this a few times. I’m suspecting someone took off the display incorrectly and damaged the unit in the process. Sadly this will require a new unit: [linked product missing or disabled: IF174-036-1][linked product missing or disabled: IF174-037-1] You’ll also need this kit: [linked product missing or disabled: IF174-005-1] and you’ll likely need a few of these Plastic Cards Here’s the IFIXIT guide to properly take the display off and to apply the adhesive strips on the new one iMac Intel 27" Retina 5K Display Display Replacement
I do not have a Mac. but yes it can be the graphics card. It could be an os corruption. When you power it on,is the screen black?
