Chosen Solution

Hi there any help would be very much appreciated as I’m banging my head against the wall now trying to figure out whats wrong. The control panel on my printer does not respond, well half of it at least. The other half takes some effort but responds. I cant use the printer as I cant make the ink cartridge notifications go away. Ive changed the panl and still the same result! What could be the issue? Is their any callibration I need to run? Is their a way to dismiss cartridge notifications via a computer rather than printer? Also Ive already reset the printer by unpluging it and removeing the CMOS battery but still nothing.

So usually a half working touchscreen means that the digitizer is damaged. Replacing the LCD is like replacing the “monitor” portion and not the “touch screen” portion. Solution you can try: If you are using it through USB, switch to the wireless mode or ethernet mode. You can then access the printer directly through the network interface (either through HP’s software or the IP address of the printer). This should be able to give you control to remove notification and change settings. Of course you are probably going to come back and say you cannot do this because you cannot change settings because half the digitizer is not working. So consider a partial or full reset: https://www.printer-configuration.net/ho
