Ok so I have been having issues with my radiatir fan low mode not working , then codes for o2 sensor bank 1 and ABS, now I started hearing a fast clicking noise seemingly from the VSS module under the hood. I’ve read there’s sometimes issues with the g101 ground on the thermostat housing.. can I run a ground from the chassis to the g101 on the thermostat to fix? I’m list here and racking my brain. It’s a 98 Accord V6 LX … please any advice is needed, put 3k in this car in last 6 months and now electrical issues ever since dealership did a ignition and key change . I’m losing my mind here.
Hi, Ground is ground. It should be no different where it is connected to, as long as it all connects back to the same -ve battery connection. (in most vehicles anyway) Having different or isolated ground (or earth) connections can affect audio circuits e.g. between an amp and a powered speaker, creating humming, but I’ve never heard of more than one distinct earth circuit in a car. At least if you try a new temporary ground connection you will know whether it is the problem or not. Just ensure that you use a suitably gauged wire as the temporary ground connection
