Hello Guys, I having a issue on my laptop for the last few months. This problem happens everytime when I turn on the laptop. A greenish background appeared around the corner of the display. After 20 - 30 minutes this greenish issue disappears. Sometime it takes longer than 40- 50 minutes to disappear. This thing happen when I turn off the laptop or put it on sleep for a long time say 3-4 hours or more.
To solve the issue I already tried to cleaned the graphics unit and also unplug the display cord and clean it. After all of this problem remains. Can anyone please provide me some relaible info so that I can fix the issue. Thanks
I’m thinking something was spilled into the lid getting the defuser sheets wet and they have deformed. When you turn on your system (display is lit) the heat slowly uncurls the sheet. Take a look at this image
Here you can see the backing plate which is the source of the green edge. Taking the display apart is quite tricky and even if you get it apart you’ll need to locate new sheets. Frankly, I think it’s just easier and safer to replace the compete lid assembly.
