I get a gray screen asking me to hold down the start button in four different languages to restart the computer.
You have akernel panic they can be either hardware or software related. If you added a new component disconnect it before rebooting. The Kernel Panic started 4 days ago. No hardware was added, and the OS was not upgraded. It will not reboot to Repair Disk, or Safe Mode. And we do not have an external drive. Searching with Google I find that there is a problem with many Mac’s running Google Chrome. I checked the date Google Chrome got into the Mac. Jan 1, at 8:10AM, and we do not know why, or by whom.
