Hello, I would like to check my MacBook’s hardware details without having to open it. Is there a good (free) software that does that? There are tons on PCs, but i couldn’t find one on Mac OS X. Thanks!
See if you have Tech Tool on your installation disk. This will give you much more information.
Click on the Apple logo in the upper left hand corner of your screen, then click About This Mac. It will open a window where you need to click More Info. Then you can browse through the hardware specs of your laptop.
the Onyx freeware gives a tad more information under the Advanced… tab. But not to the point of showing the part numbers.
