I’m traveling to Europe and want to take my iMac. I saw on the forums that new models can auto-switch between voltages. Can I just get a new power cable from an Apple store in Europe or does this system need to be plugged into a converter? Thanks
as you can see on the picture, the psu can be used between 110v - 240v (the picture is a screenshot from the parts on the right) and you don’t have to but that cable from apple - it’s a standard cable and costs around 5€ (2m long, white/light grey)- but you could also use one of those travel adapters.
everything depends on the country you are going to, many european countries have different wall outlets
