I have a Macbook that I’m having trouble figuring out the issue. When using applications such as the browsers the display just goes dark. Taping the trackpad, keyboard, and power button do not wake it up. Have to hold the power button down then turn the computer back on again. I even had the computer shut off and when I turned it on it showed the low battery indicator saying it needed to be plugged in, in the middle of the screen. I thought that was weird because the battery was at 92% last I looked, when I plugged it in it turned on and was at 92%. I checked the battery status, it says it is normal and only has 383 cycle count. I did scan for viruses and found there are some infections, but from prior experience I haven’t seen infections cause this. And the Mac does have High Sierra if that matters. coconutBattery results

Well, the battery is well used with 383 cycles, but cycles alone is not the only measure, age also comes to play and looking at the design capacity it’s getting close to the end of offering much time on battery alone. I would recalibrate the battery to see if that helped, otherwise it’s time of a new battery. Reference: Calibrate & Maintain Your MacBook Battery For Best Performance
