Chosen Solution

Howdy y’all, I recently got into a bad car accident, my phone as well. (don’t worry, I wasn’t texting and driving.) Initially, after I got my phone from my totaled car, it was dead. I got it back up and running with the help of a hair dryer, but I ran into display issues once it booted up. It’s got lines in the display where things are being drawn on the screen, and there is obvious damage to the backlight around the top since some areas are brighter than others. Every now and then, the backlight will die completely or be so dim I can’t see it in complete darkness. When I use the phone the touchscreen will freak out and open apps I didn’t press on. I was planning on replacing the screen, but I’m not sure if it’s just the screen or a deeper problem altogether. Please advise me on what I should do next. Thanks in advance. I reccomend for now you check your screen wiring and if possible replace it yourself or take it to a certified Apple repair shop. Use the guides below to help you out. iPhone 6s Plus Glass-Only Screen Repair iPhone 6s Plus Screen Replacement

I work at a repair shop, and I have seen a screen look like this a few times before. A screen replacement fixed the issue most of the time. however, once, it was a board level failure.

Good Afternoon, What is sounds like is that the issue is just the screen. However there is a possibility that you could have blown your backlight fuse. If that is the case the easiest solution is to replace the phone. Hope I answered your question. Have a great day!
