Chosen Solution

I’m not sure if that’s the best description but it’s all I could think of. My screen starting kind of smearing the image and often times bouncing. I tried resetting nvram and smc and it didn’t work. I upgraded from Catalina to Big Sur and same issue. Any other things I could try? under about this Mac mine says 2018 not late 2018 but that’s all I could choose when I looked it up. Probably the same model

Ouch! Not good ;-{ Your internal display has failed! Sadly, the T-CON logic within it is failing. This is what controls the scan of the image to the LCD panel. You’ll need a new unit MacBook Air 13" (Late 2018-Early 2020) Display Assembly and here’s the guide to replace it: MacBook Air 13” Retina Display Late 2018 Display Replacement

Not as experienced with Mac repair and I’ve never seen anything exactly like this, I’ll follow this just to see what the issue ends up being.
