Hi whats the fix for this, ive bought this phone recently so i dont know the full history of it but the phone hasnt had water damage, and ive replaced the screen twice and problem still happening. Is it a faulty chip in the logic board that controls the digitizer that i could replace?

Hi,

  1. Check whether surrounding components missing or corroded around BCM5976
  2. Heat location of BCM5976 carefully : 400C* is enough and don’t heat over 20Sec
  3. if above two not works Change the BCM5976 with upper and below caps

Thanks for your quick reply i think your right with the chip being damaged, the shield over the chip has being removed and i can see that there is a discolour around the chip, have you a link to a video that i could watch? is it hard to replace and what tools needed. Id like to try and fix this myself, be a nice achievement.

Has anybody got a links to micro soldering on iphone 5? are repair shops that fix this. Can only find chips for sale on ebay but no videos to show if its possible for a DIY job.
