I have a Craftsman mower with a 16hp Kohler motor. It is getting gas in the oil. Any ideas on where to start looking ?
test the compression should be in the 70 to 75lb range . anything lower and you have a bypass issue and this could be your entry point any gas left unburnt in a cylinder will leak into the crank case or you could have bad valve guides which is another place gas can enter. How old is the motor and does it burn oil , is it hard to start.
