Will not heat water, even though hot water switch is in on position (l). Water dispenser is plugged in. Instructions warned that hot water function would be destroyed if hot water tank ran dry. This never happened. Unit purchased Sept 2004. House fuse is not blown. (Electrical outlet functioning & green light on unit is “on”) Checked to see if temperature limiter was tripped by setting hot switch to off (O) for five minutes, and then set to on (l) for 30 minutes. Red hot indicator light on front of unit does not turn on indicating heating cycle.

Overload switch If the wall socket has power, check to see if there’s an overload switch on the hot water dispenser housing. If there is, reset the switch (usually by pressing it in), wait 15 minutes, then try the tap and see if the water coming out is hot. If there’s no overload switch, there may be an internal fuse on the unit. To see that, you need to remove screws and a panel. Heating element If there’s no overload switch–or if the unit still doesn’t heat–the heating element may be burned out. If so, it may be replaceable. We would need your Model number to find the correct parts.

I have the same problem. My model# is GXCF25FBS.

The green light is on, but red one is not, even I switched the position between O and I several times. I always kept a water bottle on it.

i click the hot switch to 0 for 5minite than switch it to 1 for 30minite. Now nothing working not even the cool water coming out which mean no water hot or cool coming out.

hot water on GE profile dispenser won’t heat up.

where is the internal fuse was place at water dispenser

Mine won’t cool the water. :-(

Model PXCR33KSS: There’s only one switch in the back for power, no hot/cold. Cold water doesn’t work but hot works. Just pulled it apart and the water inside was frozen solid….
