I have a GE Monogram Built-In Oven with Advantium® Speedcook Technology- ZSC1001KSS01 There are two bulbs inside (not the door bulb, but heating bulbs). The HEATER HALOGEN bulb works fine when applicable settings are used. The HEATER MIRACLON bulb never seams to be used, or at least I can’t figure out what settings use that bulb. My question is… what it HEATER MIRACLON bulb used for? I’d rather ask first as to what it’s used for before taking it all apart. Thanks in advance.
Hello Greg, I believe the Miraclon bulb is actually a ceramic heater. From what I understand of these ovens, they use both radiant heat from a high wattage Halogen, plus heat from a ceramic heater element. And they also have microwave capability plus some other heating elements in the lower portion of the unit (I think another ceramic heater). So you won’t see the miraclon bulb turn on like the halogen bulb because it is actually a heater. It operates on the speedcook and broil settings. It’s used in the Speed cook mode.
