gas dryer starts correctly and burner starts properly but shuts off after 10 seconds or so. replaced thermistor, (turned out not necessary, ohm reading good) ohms on thermal fuse good. completely blew out all lint from dryer with air hose, reinstalled. no change
turns out that Gil at appliance parts distributors mentioned it might be an airflow problem and lo and behold it was. a little embarrassing but the outside vent was crushed and prevented the dryer from venting so the thermostat was doing it job shutting off the dryer
