I have a Galaxy S8 G950OU that used to overheat when charging then shut down. It would resume operation after it cooled down. During the most recent update it died, and I think it didn’t get the update correctly. After that it will not boot. I can get it to turn on but when the Android logo appears it always dies. I’ve gone the soft reset, cache clearing and finally factory reset route with it, and even installed a new battery. I believe I’ll give up on it now and “recycle” it, but just curious if anyone else has had this experience or wants the thing for parts. I believe my info is safe since it did take a factory reset/clear all data.

Hi @chriscec Did you try reinstalling the firmware using Odin or Kies, you didn’t say?
