SAMSUNG Galaxy J3 dropped - NO cracks to screen or visible case damage but powers up to black screen with green & red vertical lines and white squares along edges… Responds to touch on screen and home buttons, plus sound is audible but no picture in screen.
If this is in fact a broken lcd - is it easliy repairable ? I still owe on the lease - should I just pay off the $70 and trash phone - or is cost to repair BROKEN LCD affordable ?
@lmj09 from your description alone this sounds like a broken LCD. Post some images of what your screen shows so we can see what you see. Use this guide for that Adding images to an existing question Update (05/19/2018) @lmj09 you can get a cheap dispaly assembly on ebay or amazon for around $30USD or a high quality one on ifixit for a bit more Galaxy J3 (2016) Screen All of it would be better than to just “trash” you phone! that would be a broken lcd
It is possibly something else my lcd isn’t broken I just replace the lcd and digitizer came on good and after about 5 minutes has a 1/4 inch black line straight up the middle from the home button to the speaker. I’m getting ready to open back up to check all the connections are snug.
