recently dropped my galaxy s6 G920V and have a black screen (digitizer broken) i need to know if my mother board will swap over to a G920T without connectivity problems or are pins set up differently. i have a lot of info on this phone to retrieve and i’m searching for every possibility, phone is stuck at verizon logo at startup and remains unresponsive but i CAN put it in download mode, not sure about safe mode because of no screen. any help is appreciated!
@oldturkey03 is correct, that’s not going to bring your files back. Also, you cannot change a “T” for a “V”. The “T” represents “T-Mobile” and “V” for “Verizon”. The software and/or OS are different, and the support LTE bands are different. Since you said you can go to download mode, see if you can get into fastboot/recovery mode. You may be able to retrieve your files using ADB and its push/pull commands.
@nick7847 probably not and even if it would, it will not help you with this “i have a lot of info on this phone to retrieve " All information is stored on the IC’s on your motherboard. Switching the board over, even from another G920V, will not get your files back. The only way to do this is by repairing your board. I suggest you find a competent microsolderer like @refectio and see if they can help you. A lot of times they are the expert in getting your phone at least to boot up long enough to recover your files. Update (06/02/2018) Replace the display assembly first. This may be all that is needed.
