I followed the directions for front panel replacement on the ifixit website. I have now taken the phone apart and put it back together 4 times. However, the screen will not sit flush when I place the front and rear panels together. A gap remains at the top left corner of the phone, raising the front panel from the rear panel. When I close the phone I start at the front top and there is no gap until I work my way down and close the remainder of the phone at the front bottom. I reinstalled the old, broken front panel and did not have the same problem…the front and rear panels rested flush with one another. I completed this exact repair last year on another iPhone 5 we have and had no problems at all. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Starting to sound like a defective part. I would contact the company you purchased the part from, and ask for an exchange
