Hi, I’m having some real issues with my phone at the moment. I’ve just done a screen replacement and just as i thought all was finally fixed, i went onto the camera. It first appeared to work fine (this being the back facing camera) however when switching to the front facing camera the shutter doesn’t open at all. Here’s a picture of it :
It’s annoying as always when you fix it, another thing happens. I’m not too sure what’s happened with the camera as the phone wasn’t in working condition when i bought it, so it may have been not working before i got it. It just seems to be the front camera that’s gone wrong somewhere along the line.
First make sure nothing is obstructing the camera on the new screen that you installed: remove the camera and look against the light. If that’s not the issue, use a magnifying glass to examine the board mainly next to the front camera connector, but also next to all the other connectors in that area. Let us know if you find something missing/damaged/corroded.
Make sure the front camera cable is properly seated on the mother board. It also possible that the cable was damaged during the repair and may need to be replaced.
