Replaced my battery on my iphone 6s plus and the camera ’s didnt work so i took the phone back apart and re seated the ribbons. The back camera worked after that but the front facing did not. I then replaced the front face camera with a replacement out of another iphone 6s plus and the front camera still continues to be black. Any help is appreciated
First question, did you disconnect the battery prior to removing the screen? While normally this would mainly affect the backlight circuit, it is still possible that it could cause other issues. Now, if you can install the cameras in another, known-working phone, then you can determine if the cameras are good or not. The other thing to consider is that both cameras had their flex cables damaged rom the handling. The flex cables are very delicate and can easily tear. You will need to closely inspect the flex cables. The final thing to check is the condition of the FCAM connector on the logic board. It is possible that it was damaged; that could explain why multiple cameras have failed.
