Hi my Front camera not working and I feel heat in the rear camera l opened the phone and I disconnected the rear cameras both and then the front camera worked but when I connect the front and rear the problem persists I know there is a short I just can’t seem to know where is there anyone who had the same problem before and managed to fix it ? thanks
What happened to the phone leading up to this issue; was it dropped, repaired or came into contact with water? The first thing you have to rule out is a modular issue, i.e. is it just a bad RCAM. The problem here is that the RCAM for the 7 Plus is quite expensive so it makes troubleshooting and expensive proposition. You could bring the phone to a reputable shop and they will install a camera (call ahead to see if they carry it in stock…i don’t!). If a replacement camera doesn’t solve the problem, then yes you have a logic board issue. If you are handy with a multimeter and can read schematics, then you could probe the RCAM power lines yourself to see if there are any shorts.
