Hi Community, Trying to work on one of my old phones that i sold to a friend. The cameras in the phone were not working at all. I just replaced U2301 due to no power on the PP2v85_CAM_VDD. Hey presto, rear camera worked again… however, still no front camera…. I have tested the PP2v85_CAM_VDD line and when i switch between the front and rear camera, the rear has constant power, the front holds it for about 2 seconds, then drops to 0v, all the time holding a black screen. Would anyone know what would cause the camera to do this or where i should begin to look at repairing/testing…
I would check the integrity of FL1144 and the adjacent capacitors.
The LDO seems to function normally but when the FCAM asks for juice, the filter circuit is probably failing. You didn’t mention it but I assume you already tested and replaced the actual cameras.
Hi I have same problem with front camera. FL1144 is fine, changed twice. Did you solve the problem? Regards
