We replaced old battery with new battery from ifixit. the phone booted up and seems to be working, but now the front facing camera and the internal ear piece wont work. we opened the phone back up, it appears we might have torn one of the connectors a little. My question is how do we get around that. If I order new speaker and new camera, will the connectors be included, or have we gone and done damage that isn’t repairable by anyone but Apple
You can replace the front camera flex. It’s not the hard. The part is around 3 to 5 bucks and youll find a guide here on iFixit. The speaker isnt working because the camera flex has gold contacts that connect to the speaker. Once the front camera flex is replaced, your camera and sound will come back.
