Chosen Solution
So my friend stupidly took his Xbox apart for some unknown reason and when he out it back together he says that the disc touch sensor didn’t work but the touch on does work. He said they both go off the same cable so he doesn’t know why it’s not working. I have no experience with the xboxs so I’m not much help with him. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this problem and or if replacing the whole front panel would work. Thanks !
Sounds like a good friend to have around does he take all your stuff apart? Was the xBox working before he took it apart ? The cable is either not completly seated or the cable was pinched when th front plate was reinsalled. You’ll need to remove the front plate and inspect the cable . First make sure the cable is in evenly all the way across the connector before the pinch is close down , second make sure the cable was not damaged by the fron face plate when it was snaped back into position.if the cable is damaged you will need to replace it .
