MacBook Pro 15" 2.2GHz i7 (late 2011) OS-X Sierra My system frequently crashes! The crash report states: panic (cpu 2 caller Oxffffff802d2065ea): Kernel trap at Oxffffff802d109a7a,type 13=general protection I have only included the 1st few lines of panic report… Can anyone help and resolve as to why this may be happening?

piet, before reinstall the OS X, try booting into safe mode. this is done by holding SHIFT down on the keyboard while turing the computer on or restarting the mac. Once in safe mode, use disk utility to perform a fill scan and repair of the hard drive. Safe mode also cleanly rebuilds your caches, so when you restart, try what you were doing again to see if the kernel panics disappear.

Hi, I am not sure what provokes your crashes, but the 2011 Model and other models from 2010 have graphics problems, where it would crash suddenly and reboot. It gives a kernel panic situation. I have the same problem and it’s driving me INSANE.
