My freezer and fridge are not cold, but the fridge is still running. I cleaned the coils, and noticed the oil in the pan near the coils with what looks like some corrosion.

John Dolence, if there is oil it could only be from the refrigerant. It has leaked out from the sealed system. Only a certified refrigeration tech can do sealed system repairs per the EPA guidelines.
