I have a macbook pro A1990. Forgot both firmware and desktop password, and the Apple store wants to keep the laptop for 24 hours after showing the receipt of purchase. I decided to wipe the hard drive and reinstall the Macos. Since I can’t even get to the desktop, is there any way to make a hardware reset, or any other options? The hard drive is SSD not removable, is there anyway to wipe it out by physically accessing that?
Sadly there are no backdoor, side door or any other crack in Apples security armor! Your only hope is working with Apple.
