Chosen Solution
I replaced the hard drive in my iMac for the 2nd time and forgot to take the EMI strip off the old one. Is this piece really necessary? I’m more concerned with breaking something if I open it up again than the actual time it takes, so I’d rather leave it as is unless having that EMI tape is a must.
dont worry about it, you should be fine.
I too left it off, and it has caused no problems. Don’t worry abut it.
