I took a flash photo yesterday and it the screen immediately turned black. I could not turn on the Iphone after that. I have no clue why this was the reason although I think there was some overheating near the LCD screen connectors afterwards.
Hello Tim, quite simple answer: someone who repaired your phone previously replaced a small component that costs $ 0.15 for a free wire out of pocket (jumper on the line). He soldered it because…yes, good question why - there are people who show on YT that you can fix iphone 6 / 6s no camera, no image / no backlight or something similar. Nothing but bullshit, you experience the effect yourself. This is a typical symptom of unsecured voltage passing through delicate electronics. It activates during increased power consumption like a flash (flash on selfie camera when flash is a lcd matrix). Its sad it found you. I have been fighting it for a long time, but in the YT era everyone can be an electronics engineer and the patterns are bad. Find a good repair shop if you can’t do it yourself. The costs will drop if you remove the motherboard from the phone yourself. Soldering such an element costs about $ 5-10 for a skilled electronics engineer, if the short circuit does not burn a hole (which sometimes happens when the jumper is of “Chinese” quality). fingers crossing and regards
