I just recently got 2 phone screens replaced at my local mall cell phone repair store. I received the phone back and was happy with it, but after i left and started using it i noticed that on both iphones (mine and my sisters) the text at the top of the screen (battery, time, carrier, etc…) looks like it has been moved up and is smushed at the top of the screen? also on my sisters iphone her camera flash/flashlight does not work

It’s like one whole row of pixels are not there right? Seen it before with lower quality iPhone 6 replacement screens. Now for the flashlight issue, I’m guessing they must of shorted some component chip that provides power to the flashlight LED of the phone when plugging or plugging in the screen connectors. This can only happen when the battery is plugged in during unplug / plug in of the screen cables. A lot of repair people (excluding the experienced ones) sometimes don’t bother to unplug the battery which is bad practice. Battery should always be unplugged first whenever possible before unplugging anything else.
