I think I have damaged the camera connector on my MBP when installing an OptiBay drive, how can I replace the cable or fix the connector? Could I get Apple to fix this with my AppleCare?
AppleCare is for defects in manufacturing. Apple will not fix it under AppleCare as the damage is not their fault. They may also void your warranty. Please tell us more about this damage.
Hello, I think I have done the same thing. I was a little tired when doing a cd drive change and the isight cable connector socket popped off the circuit board. Is this a lost cause or can it be repaired?
hello guys, i am experiencing the same $@$* in 2019, LMAO! and actually to replace the optical drive , the socket isn’t necessary to be plug off. Unfortunately, after searching for some solution, the cable can’t be fixed, but need to be changed. Well, if you don’t really need the camera, we can just ignore it. I just feel that some of the laptop’s part gone. %#*@.
