I have a dsi at our house and somebody tried to charge it by cutting the end off of a charging wire and attaching it to a 9 volt battery (dont ask me why) This ended up stopping the dsi from charging. The dsi still worked perfectly fine until the battery ran out. Any ideas on what I could possibly replace to fix this?

Update: I eventually managed to fix this! Turns out I just had a blown fuse located behind the charger port! All I had to do was either jump it (not recommended; the fuse exists for a reason), or simply desolder it and replace it with a new one. Unfortunately I’m not quite sure what fuse would be a suitable replacement, but if anyone has any info on this, feel free to let me know!

The charging circuit will either need to be repaired or you might be able to hook it up to a DC power supply but you’ll need to know what you’re doing.
