Chosen Solution
I am going to build an iPod from new replacement parts on ebay to save some money, and I was wondering if the female dock connector socket(the thing that the usb cord plugs into) comes built into the motherboard, or if i have to order one from appledock.mysticlagoon.com and solder it onto the motherboard myself.
The dock connector comes built into the logic board.
