I removed my fans to clean the inside of my laptop, after putting them back in they won’t run. I can put them in but not all the way, but then they run at full speed permanently. I’ve tried changing the settings to passive and not active but still nothing has changed. The moment I switch my laptop on the fans run at max speed…I don’t want them running at max. Please could someone assist me?
Hi @logank02 , Here’s the owner manual for the laptop. Go to p.24 onwards to view how to remove and replace the fans. They need to be seated properly otherwise the airflow from the CPU & GPU may not be good enough to extract the heat fast enough. The CPU has an internal thermal sensor (don’t know about the GPU but it most probably has one too) and that is most probably why the fans are on high trying to cool them down as best they can.
