My laptop fan becomes loud when it’s not on an angle I usually put it in, it sounds like grinding and eventually becomes loud if I tilt it any further. I’ve cleaned my fan and laptop and it’s still happening, I have even began to use a fan-speed controller in the hopes it would help
Hi @ysoloud , Have you thought about replacing the fan in case it is mechanically faulty -faulty or loose bearing perhaps? Not sure if you have opened your laptop or not, when you said that you cleaned the fan so here’s a link to a upgrade video for an Asus S510UQ laptop which may help as they are very similar. It may help you find the fan part number which is on the fan itself so that you can use it to search online for one to know how much they cost and if it is worthwhile to try this.
