I have a 2013 MacBook Air 13" and there was some water spilled on it. I took the computer completely apart and cleaned it with Isopropyl Alcohol. The computer turns on but the fan starts immediately and the systems performance is very slow. I tried an SMC reset by removing the battery and following the necessary steps but nothing changed. I am thinking that maybe the SMC chip still has water damage. I need help finding where it is located and what is recommended? Should I heat it up or replace the chip entirely? Thanks

4 possibilities, A) Track pad or keyboard cable is damaged. B) sometimes corrupted bios can cause this. C) download the schematics if you can and look for the thermal sensors. D) I/O board problem. check the cable and then the board itself.(Camera sensor is there too) E) SMC, try ultrasonic cleaning or replacing the chip if you are sure thats the problem. I have question from you, when you connect the charger does it charge the battery? it is very important. and If it does, what is the color of the magsafe.(Green and then orange?) Have the same problem. Is there a fixit guide for replacing the trackpad/keyboard connector/cable? @alexswann where did you order the replacement? Thanks.
