macbook will not power on and will not charge battery it has a faint green light on power cord
First inspect that all the pin are extending from the magsafe (use a tooth pick to push them), and that the receptacle is clean and able to make good contact
Had the same problem. I took apart the macbook and cleaned the magsafe and it started charging with a full green light but another problem came up. Every 2 minutes or so, it constantly asks me if I want to “shut down” the macbook as if I pressed the power button.
