So I replaced the whole front assembly which included the front camera, earpiece speaker, and home button. I did swap the home button so the screen has the original home button. I then powered on the phone and tested all functions…. After the repair one of the first things I tested was the fingerprint scanner. It read my fingerprint and stored my fingerprint. I then did a factory data reset, and get this message…
Before I did the repair i was on iOS 9.2.1, so I tried an update and no update was available. I then did a restore, which it downloaded iOS, but that didn’t help either. Any suggestions?
Reconnect the home button cable, hard reset the phone and try again.
