Looking to pick up this 82” qLED Samsung TV from craigslist with a bad LED strip for $500. I’ve been trying to find replacement strips for the backlight but haven’t been able to find anything — could be I don’t know what to look for. Are these strips generic? Furthermore, I’ve heard this repair can be tricky but I’ve got soft touch. Is this purchase a bad idea? Where could I find strips? Thanks

Ammon Kaopua nice TV great price. You are looking for either a backlight strip or a backlight array. I bet these are still hard to find since it is a Samsung specific technology. (Quantum dot LED) A display technology that uses phosphorescent crystals to improve the LED backlight on an LCD TV. Only one for replacement I’ve found is on here It’s a very big panel so make sure you keep it absolutely flat while you work on it. The larger the panel the easier it is to flex and crack. $500 plus ~$200 for the strip and lots of time while repairing it will give you an excellent TV.
