Chosen Solution
On my macbook pro only, facebook videos don’t work. They appear as a black square (no audio either). Embedded youtube videos work just fine though. I tried both Chrome and Safari and got the same results. Any ideas how to fix this? Thank you!! Update I found the solution! Apparently my problem was account-specific. When other people logged into facebook on my laptop they could watch the videos, I just couldn’t watch it on my laptop. So I put an “s” in the URL right after http, which would make it https://www.facebook.com/ And it worked! Apparently it needed a secure URL for it to work. Interesting.
