I dropped my phone yesterday and now Face ID doesn’t work. I would replace the sensors and everything, but would it be like the touch ID on phones with home buttons where touch ID stopes working?
Yes, unfortunately the FaceID is locked from the original front camera assembly to the original logic board. This means any replacement parts may still function correctly, but without the biometric features. You can try factory resetting the phone after a back-up to see if that recovers the FaceID on original device but not too likely…
