hi guys, i had 2x iphone xr. both full functionally but one of them with broken glas and the other with broken backglas - only a bit. so i decided to switch the lcds to have one perfect looking XR. after i switched the lcd’s face id function is not available anymore on both devices. Does anybody have a clue what the problem is? not forget to mention that i did not change the earspeaker or something else, i left them original on the lcd. * maybe i have to change them as well? any help greatly appreciated. best regards
Yeah you have to swap back the earpiece/top sensor flex, they must stay with the original device to keep Face ID. Also if you swap LCD, you lose True Tone.
