I replaced the Digitizer on my iPhone 6 with the iFixit iPhone 6 LCD Screen and Digitizer kit. I powered on after completing the repair, at first I thought the phone was dead and then I realized the screen was just extremely dim. If I Shine a flashlight on the screen I can see most things. Did I do something wrong during the repair? Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks!
Unfortunately, you more than likely burned out the back light fuse on the motherboard of the iPhone. Did you disconnect the battery during repair? If not, that can cause this to happen pretty easily. It’s common in the iPad mini as well. There are several reputable board level repair companies on eBay. I’ve used a company out of NY that has fixed many devices for me for a great price.
