Hey, Recently my galaxy s6 fell out of my pocket into a puddle. Everything seems to work okay, but I found that the battery is emitting an excessive amount of heat and I’ve experienced quite a dramatic drop in performance. Sometimes I’ll press the power button and it will take 20 seconds for it to work. I kept the phone on a towel after it got wet for 72hrs and everything seemed to work find for about a day. Anyone know how to resolve this or share possible reasons why this would happen? Cheers :)
Here is a great video that explains the “why”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsDpALKQ… There are countless tiny components inside your phone that corrode nearly immediately once your phone gets wet. The heat issue is a serious one since your phone does have a lipo battery and the battery can explode and catch fire. The best case scenario for you would be a bad battery. That’s a pretty straight forward fix. Otherwise, it will be damage to the charging system which would require micro soldering skills and tools.
