We’ve just purchased a Samsung refrigerator yesterday. We have it all installed and everything is working great except the ice machine isn’t dumping ice. Our refrigerator is a double door with the freezer a bottom pull out drawer, and the ice unit is located in the left side of freezer. It doesn’t have anything in the door. Why is the ice maker not dumping? It dumps when you push the button manually? Should we return it, or what is the problem? We hate to have something serviced that’s brand new?
Tammy Bartlett, it could take that refrigerator up to 48 hrs to reach temperature. The ice maker won’t advance until the temp is below 9*f. To help it get cold faster, add bottle water, sodas etc to help hold the cold. In the freezer add some bowels of water. When they freeze you can put all your food in. Read your owners manual.
