Chosen Solution

All of a sudden the screen(light) will appear, which means it can not be totally broken. Its only the backlight thats not working. Tried to clean the area with a toothbrush. Is there anything that can be done? Will a professional reperation be super expensive? MB air a1466

mrsbiotherm, looks like you’ve had a short circuit. Your connector looks like pin 3 or 4 ( can’t really see it that well) has been destroyed. You will have to replace the connector and find the short circuit. For that you will have to know how to microsolder, have the schematic and a good meter to determine what happened.

There are some possible reasons：

  1. The power supply is insufficiency. 2.Some parts like CPU, CMOS or display card is broken. 3.The connection between the accessories are bad.
